1. How To Protect Yourself From Contagious Stress?

Do you suffer from second hand stress? If you feel stressed even if you have not much to complain about, you might react to other people’s negative emotions – absorbing the bad energy and suffering from the consequences… especially if you are highly intuitive.

How can you possibly protect yourself from contagious stress? Read more here: http://claytonyoga.com/how-to-protect-yourself-from-contagious-stress/

3. Worrying About These Things During Yoga Class?

One of the major reasons we take up yoga is to relieve stress in our lives. To manage constant worry and tension building up inside. The last thing you want to do is add more worry and stress to life. But sometimes it does happen! You go to a class and succumb to thoughts that stress you out.

Now these worrying thoughts might have nothing to do with reality. Still it might get you anxious and not being able to concentrate during your class. Explore those stressful thoughts here: http://claytonyoga.com/worrying-about-these-things-during-yoga-class/

4. Your Yoga Class As Your Creative Sanctuary

Create new, experience and enjoy your being to the full – isn’t this why we are here? It is so easy to forget about the joy creation brings us in the gray days of everyday life.

The good news is that the ability to create is an inherent talent we all have. Being creative is natural and not something we need to learn.  We just need to remember!

Why don’t you use the next yoga class to explore your creativity? http://claytonyoga.com/your-creative-sanctuary-your-yoga-class/

5. Got Peace?

One of the best definitions of peace is to discover that it is not in a place where there is no trouble, hard work or noise.  But to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.  One of the most healing things we can do for our life, is to create a spiritual connection.

Our spiritual practice reminds us to be still and let go of fearful emotions and negative thinking.  How we can develop greater clarity is to read and follow the “25 Helpful Personal Bill of Rights” steps below.

A Yogini’s Guide to Happiness by Michelle Maue

6251969_sThis blogpost is an excerpt from a recent book published by St. Louis Corporate Yoga onsite wellness teacher, Michelle Maue. It describes the richness and joy that lies within each of us when we let go of the layers of our noisy ego mind and find our calm, inner peaceful spirit or our true, authentic self.

The buddha taught that we can end our suffering when we learn to let go of attachment.  When we do our job wholeheartedly with passion and joy, we bring whole peace and stay connected with spirit.  We enter into our hero journey, like a labyrinth, not quite sure where is the beginning and find ourself inspired by something much bigger than where we began.

Never stepping into the same river twice, we acknowledge our own everlasting and transcendent nature and assist one another in bringing back the good feeling vibes in our life.  There we can make choices based on bliss, joy and rapture rather than fear, control and ego.

Over reliance on rational thinking robs us our joy, delight and love of the mystery. Children, live in a constant state our wonderment and joy.  Having enchantment and delight begins with us.  Notice as an adult, how many layers of doubt keep us from our joy? Staying connected with this enchanting world requires faith.

More and more people are waking up to this 6th sense world, where we trust our intuition and feel a calling to live a life of passion and joy.  When we believe in ourself, and increase measures of faith, where there was none, we magnetize universal forces, which begin to conspire around us to bring those circumstances.  We must continue in our life, to just take the next step! It takes tremendous courage to live deeply, fully and risk standing out.

In each of us, there resides a goddess, a healer, a shaman. Enlightenment is a reversal of this kind of education as it calls into being the direct experience and validates the natural beauty for example of a flower, without any categorizing and labeling of any kind.  A Harvard research study actually found that the 90% of our thoughts is that they are both redundant and useless. The more we think we know, the bigger we need to guard those systems, the more energy is expended just trying to keep things in place.

Hard science waits and asks for repeated proof but how can you measure the changing river twice?  Over reliance on these systems, produces a power dynamic between hierarchical systems that in the end limit our worldview and choke our creativity. Empty your mind.

Learn to be your own best friend, find your inner gatekeeper and know that you are a lighthouse for many.  Energy goes where your attention flows.  The scent of the flower, it’s color, the texture, all perfect to its unfolding expression of beauty.  Scripture tells us “the flesh counts for nothing, it is the spirit which gives life”. Anything we put our intention upon, we can bring into our life.

If you have within you more positive feelings and connection to soul, you can enjoy the flow of energy and life force and leave behind the shadows and fears, revealing all happiness to be restored.

Working Women’s Survival Show Yoga Presentation

Clayton Yoga presents at the Working Women’s Survival Show this upcoming February 23rd + 24th, 2013. For the very first time, Michelle Maue will demonstrate yoga to this lovely group of people.  It will be a thirty minute yoga demonstration to put people at ease with practice of learning yoga.  We will present yoga at 4pm on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 and 12pm on Sunday, February 24, 2013.

Did you know how yoga increases our resiliency to stress?  Yoga opens up energy centers in our body and helps us reconnect with our natural energy flow.  This creates better health and greater overall confidence. Are you aware that stress itself is actually healthy for us? In this fun and important yoga demonstration, Michelle will show you just how to breathe and feel great.

Yoga postures are over 2,500 years old and designed to open the nadis or energy centers throughout the body.  When we practice yoga and breathe deeply, we give ourselves a chance to connect with natural vitality and feel refreshed, recharged and centered.

Yoga and meditation is a very powerful medicine designed not only to support better health, but also provides us with a great system we can customize to meet our own particular needs.  Most of us for example, have a great deal of anxiety and stress in today’s modern world.  In navigating through the present moment and in relationships with our coworkers, we can sometimes get stuck in a rut.

We may find that we often get upset with others or ourselves.  Rather than being a perfectionist, yoga helps us release control of the situation and remember to trust.  Rather than being fixated on getting someone else to change, yoga empowers us to let go and simply let good.

Yoga when done properly connects us with our body and our heart chakra.  This is where we find our empathy and reconnect with universal intelligence, rather than the use of brute force, we find natural vitality and trust again.  It is there that we get back into balance with the earth and transform this world by being an example as Ghandi once said thus making it a great collaborative place to live.

In addition to covering these main yoga points, we will also be giving away free gift bags and empowering yoga handout tips on better ways to find relaxation, courage and success.  And of course, the very best part is that we will share with you, just how easy it is to get yoga started for your company!

For over ten years, Clayton Yoga has delivered corporate yoga wellness classes throughout the greater metro St. Louis area.  Currently we offer 11 corporate yoga classes each week to many different companies and organizations.

Research shows that students who attend corporate yoga wellness on-site classes have fewer doctor’s visits, greater vitality and productivity at the workplace.
